About

Built where the questions came from

It grew from the questions Finance, auditors and security officers kept asking about Azure figures.

Cloudivence is developed and published by GenioCT BV, a Belgian company working on Azure architecture, governance and cost.

It grew out of Governator, the assessment engine GenioCT built for its own Azure governance and FinOps work. Over time the question it had to answer changed: less "what does the dashboard say?" and more "can I prove why it says that?". Invoice reconciliation, ownership history and the evidence behind each finding became the core.

Governator remains the engine. Cloudivence is the product built around it: the application, the trust model and the onboarding a customer sees. The name says what it is about: the cloud, and the evidence behind it.

Cost is where most conversations start: organisations on Azure whose cloud figures have to be defensible, often bought through a CSP reseller, with internal cost centres and a monthly close. Governator began with security controls and CyberFundamentals evidence, and that part stayed. Cost, ownership and security now rest on the same facts and answer to the same owners.
